Accommodation Options

College accommodation in student study-bedrooms is available on campus at Emmanuel College. The Conference Secretariat has also secured hotel accommodation at special discounted rates for delegates at a range of hotels selected to offer quality accommodation with easy access by bus to The University of Queensland. To make your reservation, please indicate your choice and requirements on the application for registration. All bookings should be made through the Conference Secretariat. A deposit of one night’s accommodation is required to secure your reservation, payable by credit card or cheque and this should be included with your Registration Fees. The balance of your accommodation is payable direct to your hotel on check-out. A tax invoice will be issued by the hotel.

All hotels have a 2.00pm check in time and a 10.00am check out time. If you are arriving from overseas and would like early access to your room it may be necessary to book and pay for accommodation for the night before. It is important you state your arrival time at your hotel on the application for registration so that if your check-in is after 6.00pm, the hotel will not release your room.

Delegates requiring SHARE ACCOMMODATION should make their own share arrangements. Each should fill in the accommodation section of the form and should also include the name of the person with whom they are sharing, but only one person needs to make the appropriate payment/deposit

Travel to the University by Council Bus is Service 412. Alternatively you may like to walk to the nearest CityCat terminal and travel by CityCat ferry to the University.

A range of student study bedrooms will be available on campus at Emmanuel College, which is within short walking distance of the Conference venue. Parking is available for guests.

Located on the banks of the Brisbane River, the Mercure Hotel is an approximate 10-15 minute ferry ride (CityCat) from The University of Queensland (with a 5 minute walk). Hotel rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, in house movies, refrigerator, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, clock radio and telephone. Hotel facilities include 24hour reception, room service, guest car parking, swimming pool, spa, sauna, licensed restaurant and bar.

Cosmo on Park Road is an apartment hotel situated right in the centre of Brisbane’s leading café scene. It is a short walk onto Coronation Drive to catch a bus to the University. Each apartment has a microwave and hot plates in the kitchen, laundry facilities and minbar. Under cover secured parking is available.

St Lucia Gardens

Conveniently situated about 2 km from The University of Queensland, St Lucia Gardens is on a direct bus route between the University and the City. A variety of restaurants, a shopping centre, bus and train transport is within easy walking distance. Rooms are air conditioned with full kitchenette facilities, colour, TV and direct dial telephones.

Forest Lodge Motel

Forest Lodge provides easy access to trains, buses and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre (4-level, 500 shop centre). A bus stop to The University of Queensland is outside the motel door. Each unit is fully equipped (fridge, microwave, air conditioning etc) and has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds.
