Presenter Information
Full (Oral) Presentations
Oral presentations will be 25 minutes in length, made up of 20 minutes talk plus 5 minutes of questions. (The 25 minute presentation length will be strictly observed.)
A computer (with recent versions of Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader) and data projector will be available for presentations. It is possible that the computer will be connected to the Internet (with a private IP address and web access only via a proxy server) but this should not be relied on.
Presentations should be
- emailed to presentations@icfpt04.itee.uq.edu.au (no longer active) in advance of the conference (by Friday December 3, 2004), (preferred option) or
- brought to the conference on CD-ROM or USB flash disk, or
- brought on the presenter's own laptop computer (least preferred).
Presenters must load their presentation onto the supplied computer (or ensure their computer works with the supplied data projector) in the break just before their session (at the latest). Presentations emailed to the address above will automatically be placed on the computer to be used.
Posters
Poster presenters should bring their posters with them to the conference. Posters are limited in size to 1.5 metres (5 feet) wide by 1 metre (3.25 feet) high. Suggested sizes are Arch-E (3 feet by 4 feet, 91.4cm x 121.9cm) or A0 (33.1inches x 46.8inches, 84.1cm x 118.9cm).
Posters will be attached to poster boards using velcro tabs (supplied). On the day of their poster presentation, presenters should ensure their poster is displayed on the designated poster board by the beginning of morning tea. Presenters are required to be near their poster during the afternoon tea poster session. Posters should remain displayed until the end of that day's sessions.
